Damage & Loss

1. Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for the rented product and all included components from the time they are handed over until they are returned and accepted by Luxury Rent.

2. Reasonable Wear
Minor signs of normal wear resulting from careful and appropriate use of a rental garment may be accepted. Normal wear will be assessed reasonably according to the product’s condition before and after the rental.

3. Chargeable Damage
Charges may apply for damage beyond reasonable wear, including tears, burns, permanent stains, broken zippers or fastenings, damaged embroidery, missing embellishments, fabric cuts, unauthorized alterations or other avoidable damage.

4. Stains & Excessive Cleaning
Where a product requires unusual or specialist cleaning because of excessive stains, makeup, chemicals, food, beverages or other substances, reasonable cleaning or restoration costs may be charged.

5. Missing Components
All pieces supplied with the rental must be returned. Charges may apply for missing blouses, dupattas, belts, garment covers or any other component specifically included with the rented product.

6. Unauthorized Alterations
Rental garments must not be permanently altered, cut, dyed, stitched, resized or otherwise modified without prior approval from Luxury Rent. Costs arising from unauthorized alterations may be charged to the customer.

7. Loss or Theft
If a rented product or included component is lost or stolen while under the customer’s responsibility, the customer must inform Luxury Rent immediately.

8. Damage Beyond Reasonable Repair
Where a product is damaged beyond reasonable repair or cannot reasonably be returned to rentable condition, the customer may be responsible for the actual financial loss suffered by Luxury Rent, taking into account the product, its condition and reasonable repair or replacement value.

9. Assessment of Charges
Any damage or loss charge will be assessed after inspection. Where appropriate, Luxury Rent may consider reasonable repair, cleaning, restoration or replacement costs rather than imposing an arbitrary fixed penalty.

10. Security Deposit Deductions
Applicable damage, loss, cleaning, missing-item or restoration charges may be deducted from the refundable security deposit. Where the reasonable loss exceeds the security deposit, an additional amount may be payable.

11. Reporting Existing Issues
Customers should inspect the product at pickup and inform Luxury Rent of any noticeable existing damage or issue before taking the product. This helps avoid confusion during the return inspection.

This policy should be read together with the Rental Terms, Security Deposit Policy, Pickup & Return Policy and Booking & Cancellation Policy.
